The Role:
Develops Project Contracts and associated commercial documents to implement Project Contracting Plans
• Manages the bidding, awarding, and administering of activities associated with Project Contracts sourcing.
• Manages and Administers Project Contracts after award
• Manages commercial claims and disputes associated with Project Contracts
• Serves as a primary point of contact for Contractors. Reviews and/or drafts contractual correspondence.
• Coordinates verification of approval of contract payment milestones and processes for project team approval of work tickets.
• Provides Contract interpretation and advice to Project Team members as Required
• Develops, gains approval of, and executes a procedure for managing contract claims and change orders
• Assists the Business Unit's Supply Chain Management group with bidding, awarding and administering Procurement contracts as required
a. Assists in the establishment, development and implementation of the project contracting strategies and project contracting plans aligned with processes, policies, procedures, guidelines, and satisfying government requirements.
b. Assists in the establishment and implementation of Project Resources Company (PRC) bid evaluation procedures and project contracting administrative procedures to ensure effective practices are utilized.
c. Participates and supports Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and EPC/EPCI/EPCM bid document preparations, issues, clarifications, evaluations, contractor selection and contract negotiations through to contract award. Assists or leads preparation for, and coordination of contract mobilization.
d. Coordinates administration of FEED and major EPC/EPCI/EPCM contracts, including contract change management, lien waivers, insurance, claims mitigation and closeout.
e. Prepares and administers all third party contracts. Ascertains that contracts state all elements that clearly define terms and conditions delineating rights and duties of all parties concerned.
f. Ensures all corporate compliance needs of contracts are satisfied including insurance certificates, authority levels, approvals, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, etc.
g. Ensures all project joint venture requirements regarding contracting processes are satisfied.
h. Manages well all contract changes, i.e. adding, omitting, or deviating from specified requirements in the contract, as directed by the Company.
I. Acts as a point person for contract audits when required.
j. Participates in the Chevron Corporation Contracts Administration/Administrator network for lessons learned, best practices, and for peer communication.
k. Cooperates and coordinate with various Chevron Legal and Contracting groups for contracting activities.
l. Carries out other similar or related duties including, but not limited to, coordinating and attending Project meetings and with other concerned Divisions; adhering to all environment, health & safety policies, rules and regulations and reporting potential hazards to appropriate parties, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS, MBA in Engineering or Commercial Management Field Preferred

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• 8 to 15 years of direct major capital project contracting development and management experience with higher level degree preferred. Candidate must be internationally mobile and willing and able to travel and work in international project locations.

Coordinates project contracting activities ensuring compliance with Chevron policies and procedures. Assists with the development of contracting strategies and plans, undertakes market analysis and bid document preparation, issues bids, manages supplier clarifications, assists in evaluation and negotiation activities, and prepares and coordinates contract documentation for award. Assists in contract mobilizations, and undertakes administration and management of a range of project contracts, including [Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPC/EPCI/EPCM) contracts], and preparation and administration of all smaller third party contracts. Establishes and maintains interfaces with key stakeholders of the project
