The Role:
This position is for a Contracts Manager to be based in Brisbane working within an EPCM environment in the energy sector.

Responsibilities will include:

Advise on all legal, commercial and contractual issues to members of the project team
Establishing effective sub contracts management, systems, methods and procedures for the project
Building relationships with subcontractors, management support organisations, and project team members Coordinate activities with project management, construction management, business development, legal, finance and insurance during proposal preparation and project execution.
Assess, review and advise Senior Managers and Project Managers in contractor claims for variations and extensions.
Leading and growing an existing team, involving recruiting, managing and development of staff.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A recognized degree in the relevant discipline ideally in Engineering, Law, Business Administration or similar
12 years minimum to include specific experience in contracts management and experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management contract development and administration associated with significant multi-disciplines.
Extensive knowledge of commercial procurement laws, practices and standards as they relate to project delivery is also a must
Industry experience in hydrocarbons, and or minerals & metals will be highly regarded
Demonstrated broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and lead organisational change effectively
Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural environments
