The Role:
This is an exciting role with a industry leading engineering contractor. The role includes excellent benefits and potential for future development!

As a Subcontracts Manager you will:

Lead the development of specific subcontract strategies and subcontract plans
Supervise commercial evaluations and manage effective negotiations to enable most cost effective use of the market place and to ensure maximum benefit to the project/proposal/company.
Ensure compliance to all subcontract policies and procedures as appropriate thus ensuring an efficient and auditable subcontract trail.
Be the single point of contact for all project specific subcontract issues.
Ensuring that subcontracts are executed to programme and budget.
Effectively manage all subcontract related activities for an assigned portfolio of projects
Provide effective subcontract status reporting to facilitate effective management of the overall project / proposal and subcontract processes and to allow corrective actions to be applied as/if necessary.
Manage, build, develop and maintain relationships within a multi discipline team environment covering site and office based construction, engineering, procurement and project management staff.

The role will be both office and site based and all candidates must be prepared to travel within the UK.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Subcontracts Manager you will have:

• Degree/HNC (or equivalent) in Business Studies, Economics, Office Administration or an Engineering based subject
• CIPS, RICS, APM, IMechE or equivalent
• Extensive experience of working in a Subcontracts Function in the Heavy Engineering, Nuclear, Mechanical or Process Industrial Sectors.
