The Company:
A leading global oil and gas resources company.

The Role:
The purpose of ths role is to develop and implement contracting strategies focused on driving HSEC best practice, optimisation of contracting services to meet business requirements, standardisation of documentation and automation, increased service levels across the Production operations.
The successful candidate will be accountable for:

• Assurance of global compliance with Corporate and Supply policies, procedures and statutory requirements
• Driving commercial contracting excellence
• Increased operational efficiencies by optimisation of contracting services
• Improved relationships with internal customers, functional teams and other company Sites
• Improvements in Service Levels
• Increased data accuracy, management ownership and user trust / confidence in the SAP and CCMS Systems
• Improved control and decision making using standard tools available in the system
• Increased visibility / audit ability across the integrated supply chain and an understanding of the mutual impacts of process aligned teams
• Improved lead time performance within contracting process ensuring contracts are awarded in timely fashion to meet business requirements
• Maintaining accurate contracts data in CCMS reflecting all relevant Operations contracts’ status.
• Improved contractor relationships

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Contracting Policies, Processes and Procedures – work with all other stakeholders ( Production, IT, HSEC, tax, legal, risk, finance) to drive compliance with and continuous improvement of processes & procedures emphasising standardisation where possible
• Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key contractors to ensure best service, commercial terms, surety of services for PU operations
• Ensuring ‘best value ‘ achieved by competitive tendering, effective negotiation and contract structure
• Accurately quantifying, classifying and recording Supply savings in Benefits Capture System (BCS)
• Aligning contractual, commercial and risk guidelines and approval policies to ensure effective governance
• Internal/ external benchmarking activities to achieve continuos performance improvement (HSEC, QA, Cost, Schedule etc.)
• Awareness of PU operational activities and work closely with Contract Sponsors/Business Users and other functions to ensure contracting processes are implemented in timely fashion to meet business requirements (Contracting Strategies, Risk Assessments, Tendering Process, Negotiation, Contract Documents etc.)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• University Degree or equivalent.
• Membership of CIPS preferred

Experience & Technical Competencies:
The successful candidate will have strong SAP experience along with experience in the resources industry with exposure to major oil & gas operations, specifically contract management
• A comprehensive understanding of upstream E&P business
• Risk management skills
• Problem solving skills
