The Company:
Our client is a global leader in the oil and gas industry and have potentially found a way to revolutionise the way natural gas resources are developed, by building the world's first floating liquefied natural gas facility (FLNG).

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Contracts Specialist to manage a portfolio of operational service contracts.

Your duties will include but not limited to:
• Support the execution of the complete Category Management & Contracting Process (CMCP) including Contract Strategy, Tactics and Contract Management activities for the corporate portfolios in Upstream projects
• Negotiate with contractors and manage the development, execution, and fulfillment of contractual commitments
• Provide delivery and management of contracts and cost management / value improvement targets
• Manage the preparation of bid documentation and co ordinate contractor selection, including the preparation of all pre-qualification submissions, as well as bid clarification, normalization and evaluation
• Monitor and guide the contractor’s management of its activities to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in good operational condition

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to fulfil the role you must have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

• In this role you will be degree qualified with broad experience within Contracts & Procurement and ideally exposure to corporate orientated requirements
• You should also have strong and proven interpersonal, influencing & stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of professionals and managers
• Exposure to SAP or similar ERP, contract management systems and Windows will be required to perform the role
• You will have strong negotiating skills and to be well prepared and action oriented by nature, demonstrating a strong work ethic in all of their professional dealings
