The Role:
Contract Specialist Role Purpose To manage the strategy and execution of a broad contracts portfolio including, but not limited to Marine, Onshore Land Logistics – including Warehouse, Supply & Waste Management and a range of other services required for the delivery of production targets in North Sea on and offshore assets. The role involves close contact with the market and vendors, liaison with Global Category Managers, and a close working relationship with Contract Holders and Owners in UI-Operated UK & Ireland. Accountabilities • Support to Logistics Function and Assets. • Interpretation of requirements short, medium and long term. • Delivery and management of contracts. • Achievement of cost management and value improvement targets. • Working closely with Contract Holders and Owners to seek and deliver additional Value Opportunities from contracts. • Implementation of Contractor HSSE practices in close liaison with Contract Holders and Owners. • Managing supplier relationships. • Facilitating vendor and contract optimisation reviews. • Maintenance of Contract Management Plans to achieve and maintain Top Quartile contactor and Shell delivery performance. • Maintenance of both electronic and hard copy contract records. Dimensions Production total annual spend circa $2.5b on third party goods and services. Challenges • Defining business requirements in collaboration with the Functions and Assets. • Compliance with CP Standard Processes and Operating Model. • Working under pressure. • Delivery on schedule and on cost. • Managing supplier relationships. • Continuous improvement of Contractor Performance (particularly HSSE and delivery). • Maximising efficiency gains from Procurement systems and tools. Experience and Qualifications Required •

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A degree level or equivalent with broad experience within a CP, Oil & Gas environment. • CIPS qualification or equivalent. • Strong interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills. • Strong communication skills. • Knowledge and experience of special conditions for contracting in Marine and Land Logistics will be required. • An understanding of the structure and operation of complex multi-services contracts would beneficial.
