The Company:
The company is a growing FTSE 250 oil and gas exploration and production company with current interests in eight countries around the world. Our target is to deliver growth by building three quality businesses, in the North Sea, the Middle East/Pakistan and South East Asia.

The Role:
Seeking to secure the services of an experienced Contracts & Procurement professional to supervise the Project C&P team as the Project progresses through the execute phase. The primary roles of this position shall be as follows:-
• Functional responsibility for Project Contracts & Procurement activity including recommendations on resource levels
• To provide functional leadership and advice to the Contracts & Procurement Team
• To provide functional advice to the Project Manager and other members of the Project Team
• To appraise management of Contracts & Procurement status across all Project packages
• To provide support to the site based Contracts & Procurement personnel as and when required
• Provide a “hands on” role on Contracts & Purchasing activity where required to supplement the existing team
• Provide advice on all pre-contract and post-contract matters as required
• Assistance with claims management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years experience in Contracts & Procurement activity within the oil and gas industry
• Hands on experience of developing and negotiating major construction contracts, preferably fixed platform construction and preferably on an EPC/EPCI basis
• Hands on experience of major construction contract management
• Good experience of managing a team of Contracts & Procurement personnel
• Experience of International contracting would be an advantage
