The Role:
The Technical Assistant is responsible for providing a comprehensive technical and administrative service to designated team members within the project Contracts team.The post holder will be expected to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the key activities of the team.


• Under the supervision of the Lead Contracts Engineer support the contracts team as required in compiling and issuing information and reports/documents prior to tender issue through to evaluation, subsequent contract award and contract management phase.
• Update CPR registers in liaison with CPR Technical Assistant.
• Update Vendor Master Data in SAP
• Working in close collaboration with the CPR Administrator, develop as “super user” of the key Contracts Management tools (Contiki, Ariba, D&B and FPAL).
• Update SAP and Contiki information (IAL updates, contract rep., expired contracts etc.) from approved documents (contracts, amendments etc.)
• Gather information from industry data and respond to Group requests as directed by the Lead Contracts Engineer
• Process of minor contract amendments as requested by the contracts team
• Process of change/variation orders and release orders as requested by the contracts team (SAP update, distribution of copies, etc)
• Follow-up of the use of service orders and provide reports to the contracts team who will arbitrate with users as required
• Extract monthly reports from the TS/CPR SAP report (contracts, service orders, amendments etc.) and issuing to the relevant contract representatives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualified to degree level in Quantity Surveying, Law or Engineering.
• Previous work experience, preferably gained working within a contracts or technical environment.
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
• Good keyboard skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft/specialist software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics packages etc).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) as well as demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Willingness to share information and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach.
