The Role:
Position Summary:
• Experienced in offshore oil / gas, hydrocarbon and in engineering fields large projects.
• An I&C discipline engineer must assist his I&C LE in coordinating both the Engineering and Design teams and be familiar with the workings of the engineering and design software systems being used on the project.
• Participate in specified instrumentation related aspects of overall control and safety design.
• Participate in the engineering and design of a facility under the supervision of senior personnel, including heavy coordination with Process Engineering, Piping Design, and Mechanical Engineering groups for functional requirements of instruments.
• Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings, documents, and material & equipment specifications and datasheets.
• Resolve engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Must have knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities or Duties:
• Implementation of Instrument and Control portion of P&IDs.
• Management under supervision of the Instrument Index database.
• Specification of field instruments to meet performance criteria.
• Instrument sizing calculations (Control Valves, Relief Valves, Flow Elements, and thermowell vibration calculations).
• Specification and selection of Instrumentation.
• Specification and selection of Process Control Systems and Safety systems.
• Functional design of the Process Control Logic and Safety logic.
• Integrate packaged equipment into overall system design.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ISA, NEC / IEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.) and preferably also Saudi Aramco standards and working practices.
• Interface with the Project Management team and Client.
• Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
• Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Perform thorough review of relevant vendor information.
• Provide a timely internal check of drawings produced by other company disciplines.
• Incorporate company procedures and standards into design as applicable.

Additional Requirements:
• Visits to offshore facilities for surveys.
• Lifting and carrying offshore.
• Inspection trips
• Leadership experience or proven leadership skills.
• Should be proficient in Microsoft office software (Word and Excel) and Client purchased and in house created software such as Caesar II. Should also be familiar with editing, opening and reading drawings in Microstation and working with SP3D 3D CAD system on projects. Should be familiar with responding to e-Mails & doing all necessary actions as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 5 Years I&C Engineering or related industry experience
• Working towards Member of a recognized chartered professional body.
• BSc Engineering degree.
