The Role:
The C&I Engineer will be part of the Area Engineering Support Team of Engineers. The AES Team is engaged in day to day plant support of the Operation , like troubleshooting or plant optimisation.
The first half of 2014 is focussed on preparing the project for production re-start mid year. Reporting to the AES Team Leader, the Asset C&I Engineer is required to provide discipline support engineering expertise for the asset (Instrumentation & Control System); driving defect elimination through continuous improvement and production optimisation.

•Addressing day to day issues, e.g. through daily Ops meeting, with control and safety system hardware and software e.g. HMI issues, digital security, networking, package interface issues, field instrumentations, actuated valves, fire and gas, telecommunications etc.
•Field instrumentations and control system spares management and health care provision (working with Reliability & Maintenance team)
•Day to day management and continuous improvement of the Control and Alarms LoPs across the area / asset by reviewing associated KPI data e.g. alarm system metrics, control loop performance, advanced control utilisation, control of overrides
•Implement / manage field instrumentation and control system modifications
•Support the maintenance team in regards to breakdown maintenance.
•Drive Control & Instrumentation standardisation at a local level
•Review and approve (if appropriate) Control / Instrumentation MOC content
•Identify plant optimisation opportunities. Propose engineering solutions to implement and manage works to optimise productions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- The candidate should have extensive experience with control and instrumentation with charted engineering status.
- The candidate should have a working knowledge of industry and government standards such as ISA, IEC, NEC, API requirements for facilities.
- Experience with Distributed Control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, Operator interface systems and field instrumentations from major suppliers.
- Experience with Instrumentation Protective System with TUV certification.
