The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Development of the vehicle controls algorithm and new functionality for Micro Hybrid and / or Full Hybrid vehicles.

-Test and simulation through Simulink/ Stateflow.
-Documentation including model specifications and calibration guides.
-Accountable to Manager of the Hybrid Controls Team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Automotive experience and knowledge of powertrain control is required
-Experience in writing and maintaining requirements for control software for real-time embedded systems
-Experience in turning high level requirements into control code
-Capable of validating the control code through use of software validation tools and in the HIL environment
-Capable in Simulink and preferably Target Link
-Experience of DOORS requirements management tool desirable
-Experience of liaising with suppliers on control and software related issues
-A calibration / electronic / software background would be a minimum for this role
-Controls system development in the automotive, aerospace or comparable industry (min 3 years)
-Degree Qualified

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of developing Powertrain controls
Experience of other system control systems
Creation of control software in Simulink
Experience in liaising with suppliers on control issues and software
Creation of control software using TargetLink
Knowledge of 'C' programming
