The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company.

The Role:
Duties:
To assure the systematic application of, and conformance with Company standards for CoW.
To deliver a sustainable step change improvement in the robustness of the CoW barrier in the Iraq region.
To communicate with Leadership to ensure they understand the risks based on the current status of the CoW barrier.
As part of the Segment CoW CoP develop and maintain upstream standards for CoW.

Key accountabilities
• Responsible for day to day operation of the Control of Work system ensuring it remains updated and fully applicable to all the facilities.
• Focal point for the CoW program delivery with responsibility for understanding the CoW programs, identifying issues/gaps and establishing plans and interventions to manage accordingly
• Accountable for completing the Regions CoW assurance review, a required.
• Focal point for CoW gap assessment and improvement plan.
• Provide leadership, advice and guidance in all matters relating to the COW barrier. Coordinate the COW community of practice and support the CoW Steering Committee.
• Manage the CoW Self-Verification (SV) program to define SV CoW strategy and provide input for the CoW SV KPI to drive CoW learning and compliance, including trending/analysis and interventions
• Provide monthly and quarterly feedback report to the Project Leadership team describing the status of the CoW barrier.
• Responsible for establishing close working relationships with all Project departments (PROD/OPS, Wells, Projects) to ensure delivery of quality and standard CoW System implementation at all the facilities
• Lead the CoW Team Nationalization Program by providing training and coaching to ensure the required competencies built-up by actively engaging, influencing and persuading to deliver an integrated and pragmatic approach to CoW System implementation
• Establish and lead CoW procedures review and update process, and set-up and manage CoW Procedures SharePoint website to share information
• Establish CoW Team Meetings - Repetitive and One-off`s as necessary
• Provide input for CoW incident investigations (as requested) to ensure the root cause(s) is identified and systematic actions are put in place to drive learning and prevent reoccurrence

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An engineering degree from an internationally recognised university.
