The Role:
Job Duties & Responsibilities

· Support locally the desalination plant through proper and effective handling, monitoring and operating of necessary equipment.
· Assist field operator in performing their duty and monitor their required tasks in order to maintain safe and efficient operations of RO plant.
· Ensure all processes and process equipment are operated in accordance with site team's control limits and set points, report and highlight to shift supervisor any plant abnormalities.
· Be familiar with and works within the emergency response plan in an emergency situation.
· Monitor unit performance indicators work with DCS to ensure that control system is operating as designed and programmed and identify improvements to the DCS.
· Provide a focal point for troubleshooting, optimization and achieving operation targets to control key costs and improved reliability
· Promote continuous improvement and consistency within the operating units with regard to operating practices and work quality.
· Accurate and timely reporting of operation data and all incident reports.
· Participate in the development of SOP's, lock-out tag outs, safety bypass procedures and safe work permits.
· Provide input to employee performance reviews and staff development.
· Cover control room operator and /or field operator during vacation, absences, or leave as per instructions of shift supervisor.
· Participate in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining operation procedures as per request from management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· Technical School diploma/Vocational School graduate
· Knowledge of water desalination specifically Reverse Osmosis (RO) minimum 5 years experience in RO plant
· Knowledge in equipment trouble shooting and power plant equipment operation
