This position is 100% Offshore

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the OTL(P), the Control Room Operator (CRO) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of platform plant and equipment to maximize and optimize production opportunities and achieve day-to-day production targets; this will include directing the Operations Team members to investigate anomalies and carry out routine and non-routine operational actions, to ensure the Everest and CATS Riser Module and ancillary plant are operated in a safe and efficient manner. Ad-hoc visitors and vendors may also be directed by, and the CRO at his discretion.

Given the right skill sets the CRO can deputise for the AOS (Assistant Operations Supervisor).



* The Control Room Operator must demonstrate excellent safety leadership and behaviours, ensuring that Health, Safety, Security & Environmental expectations are communicated, maintained and implemented.
* Monitoring platform F&G Systems to ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
* Accountable for recording all system overrides and inhibits, ensuring they are removed as soon as possible or initiating Operational Risk Assessments as appropriate.
* To be fully conversant with all platform activities in order to be able to make on the spot decisions regarding conflicting activities and plant control.
* Isolating and performing authority.
* Actively participate in Safety auditing and Near Miss Reporting.
* Operations Technicians are expected to become involved with one or more of the following assessment processes: COSHH, Task Based Risk Assessment, Manual Handling.
* Fully conversant with the content of the Platform Production and Standing Instructions.
* Gain awareness of the platform Safety Case and other relevant BMS documentation as per Everest
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the PCR


* First line response to emergency situations - ensuring correct actions are taken and emergency response teams are alerted.
* Emergency response duties in accordance with the platform Station Bill as both duty and off-duty CRO.
* Role-playing during emergency response training scenarios.
* Maintain emergency response boards in Platform Control Room with up-to-date information.
* Update Emergency Response Personnel proforma as necessary
