The Role:
Actively participate as a member of the “URF Delivery Team” Team to assist in setting clear direction and communicate delivery expectations to the Controls team, suppliers and contractors.
Demonstrates and promotes leadership standards, including codes of ethical conduct, related to deployment of all business objectives
Cultivate high performing delivery team and a healthy work environment by supporting/ coaching team members throughout the offshore campaign.
Identify team resource requirements including all aspects of interface management; contribute to the resolution of conflicts, disputes, disagreements in a timely and efficient manner.
Demonstrate clear HSSE leadership to project team members, suppliers and contractors promoting HSSE objectives and ensuring application of company standards.
Manage risks and hazards related to Control System installation activity during all phases of the work.
Fully support URF Delivery Manager with riser installation related risk and hazard management during offshore installation and testing and support timely closure.
Ensure proper adherence HSSE processes (GRoS & COW) during associated fabrication, onshore testing, and installation supporting the URF Delivery manager during marine construction activity.
Ensure the Contractor’s Project team fully understands the standard of HSSE performance expected by the company. Contribute to an advance communication, training and performance measurement programme to ensure these standards are delivered.
Implement full and proper implementation of Front End Loading (FEL) for all control system installation scope and development of safe methods of execution including contingency planning to secure completion of work in a safe and timely manner.
Provide effective interface management for riser installation activity interfaces with engineering, fabrication, installation contractor, offshore programme support functions and existing Asset
Contribute to Control system installation co-ordination and installation campaign management decision making process
Keep Control System installation programme (installation engineering, associated procurement and fabrication, testing, transportation, and installation) short and long term on track through direct management and co-ordination with project team to assure equipment available to support offshore campaign.
Provide regular performance reporting to URF Delivery Manager highlighting areas requiring attention to achieve project objectives.
Drive installation progress and participate in the daily vessel calls.
Implement robust lessons learned programme throughout the project phases and implement a continuous improvement feedback loop for subsequent projects.
Develop and implement Control System installation execution plan inline and supporting the URF delivery programme in co-ordination with URF delivery teams.
Break down the overall Control System installation goals into smaller Execution milestones and targets; continually assess performance and progress against milestones/targets; intervene where necessary to recover project position.
Liaise with URF and wider offshore programme delivery team members to facilitate schedule integration and assure timely delivery of engineering, hardware and any other aspect supporting Riser installation programme.
Responsible for maintaining the project’s Control System installation schedule and, through direct co-ordination with URF Delivery team, manage all activities related to the scope.
Fully support implementation of Control System installation and pre commissioning scope Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/ Performance Plan/ Goals and Objectives
Provide input and support to Budget Responsible Officer (BRO) for the project team supporting Control System installation scope delivery; including estimating and forecasting input to BP Control System installation team costs.
Monitoring contractors cost performance; input and approval of contractors’ variations; estimating and forecasting contractors costs for project budgeting.
Establish and manage a quality assurance plan for all Control System installation activity.
Drive all assurance activities for the Control System installation work and provide a system of continuous monitoring for the duration of the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Advanced relevant work experience, preferable in the oil and gas industry.
•Project engineering experience, supervising contractors’ execution of engineering design, equipment and materials procurement, module fabrication, transportation and/or in construction in the oil and gas industries.
•Experience and knowledge in the areas of reviewing vendor equipment data.
•The willingness and ability to travel
•Strong planning, interpersonal, communication and influencing and organizational skills.
•High motivation and the ability to achieve goals and be a team player.
•The ability to define and prioritize issues and solve problems through networking with other team members or external sources.
•An Innovative eye for identifying opportunities to reduce costs and challenge the status quo.
•The ability to interface effectively with people of all levels, both internal and third parties, with wide ranging cultural backgrounds.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree and/or Chartered Engineer
•Experience with offshore modification work on operating platforms.
•Experience with modification work on operating platforms / Specific Regions
•Experience with pipeline, flexibles, subsea and facilities installation.
•Experience commissioning and start-up of offshore Control systems
