The Company:
Our Client is a major contractor providing consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's energy, power and process industries. They are the leading Contracting Company to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK.

The Role:
Lead and deliver Control System Upgrade Conceptual/Front End Studies and FEEDs

Ensures a value adding Conceptual/Front End Study and FEED content & delivery, meeting or exceeding Client’s Requirements delivered within budget and agreed timescales

Agree and clarify with Client the key study objectives, drivers, BoD and workscope .

Organise study kick off meetings and relevant design reviews, value improving practices(VIPs) and progress/performance meetings as required.

Promote and lead team lateral thinking and innovation to generate best/added value to Client in terms of anticipated Project outcome

Support Client developments economic assessment as required

Monitoring and managing study budget/costs and scope changes in conjunction with the lead Discipline Engineers and where necessary raise and agree scope change requests with Client for additional budget as required. All in accordance with company change control procedure.

Review progress of key study deliverables and liaise with Project Engineer(PE) and/or Lead Discipline Engineer(LDE) in expediting these documents and in coordinating completion of the main study reports

Communicate with Study Sponsor re study progress and major issues and coordinate issue of a weekly summary status report

Coordinate preparation of overall project estimates and plans in accordance with the Client requirements

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
UK Bachelors Degree or equivalent in appropriate Engineering subject

Chartered Member of relevant professional Institute

Significant oil and gas engineering with a strong offshore engineering and front-end bias

Good grasp of process engineering and process tools employed as well as an appreciation of contribution from other engineering disciplines.

Competent in leadership, management and supervision of a multi-discipline engineering team

Experienced in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting
