The Company:
Our Clinet is an international Operator

The Role:
• Provide day to day Control and Automation Engineering Support to Onshore & Offshore Production Operations (e.g. Breakdowns & Correctives)
• Planned Maintenance
• Shutdown Support
• Minor Mods & Change Control
• Functional Project Support
• Management of Automation & Control Spares
• Obsolescence, Lifecycle Review and Risk Management
• Ensuring the Technical Integrity of all Control and Safety Systems across our assets.
• Ensuring assigned tasks and modifications are completed in compliance with international and PUK standards and procedures.
• Assisting the control system engineering team with project work.
• Administer all Change Request Forms to ensure a full audit trail for changes and implementations.
• Raise relevant permits within the agreed time period and suspend or cancel permits as appropriate
• Provide assistance for projects, working with vendors and sub contractors as required, subject to operational requirements and suitable resources being able to backfill the role.
• Reading and responding to all communications in a timely manner
• Applying trade and operational knowledge to fault finding and troubleshooting techniques for both onshore and offshore problems.
• Complying with and pursuing the requirements of Change Management Policies (e.g. Plant Modification Proposals (PMP’s) etc.).
• Regular Health checks on the Control Systems.
• Interacting with vendors and OEM’s ensuring the appropriate service is provided to the Company.
• Recording of environmental critical information
• Understanding and knowing the software systems in order to prevent causing any shutdown.
• Permit to Work and Isolations Process Onshore and Offshore to ensure that conflicting activities are managed and that a safe working environment is maintained

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislation
• Ideally 5 years working experience in the offshore/onshore oil and gas industry with experience in a Control Systems role
• Good communication skills are vital, both written and verbal
• Strong organisation and planning skills are required as well as being a motivated active team player
• Good working knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems and the assessment and verification of Safety Critical Systems
• Strong working knowledge of DCS/PCS, especially Delta V.
