The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

The Role:
Our client has vacancies for C&I Design Engineers to join their growing team - working on major nuclear projects. Long term work.

Key Responsibilities will include:

C&I equipment specification, assessment & justification.
Front End Engineering Design package generation.
Liaison with clients, suppliers & contractors.
Providing support to Senior Engineers as appropriate.
Site surveys as required.
Detail Design.
Providing support in developing estimates for various projects as required.

Specifically Control/Instrumentation/Robotics background and Secure Network Communications (Cisco) sought after for current workload.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We would expect you to have relevant experience within a highly regulated nuclear sector with the following experience and qualifications:
Qualified to a minimum of HNC level and preferably have a good relevant engineering degree and be able to demonstrate sound technical experience.
Conventional/nucleonic instrumentation.
Safety Instrumented Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, Fire Detection Systems.
Safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513), SIL categorisation & safety lifecycle.
Previous nuclear power station or nuclear industry experience.
Availability, Reliability & Maintainability.
Automation system design.
Electrical Distribution Design.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security vetting process
Nuclear industry experience would be an advantage however we are principally looking for first class E, C&I engineers who have the capacity to learn and develop their skills for the nuclear industry.
