The Company:
Our Client is a global operator in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Essential Job Functions:
•Develop and mentor national personnel (both Groupement and Contractor) in order to develop the technical and leadership skills.
• Develop effective systems and procedures for corrosion monitoring, and corrosion inspection. Identify and recommend new technologies applicable to the corrosion management system.
• Develop new, and optimise existing contracting strategies for the provision of materials, equipment and services in support of the corrosion management system.
• Monitor and optimise corrosion inhibition treatments across all production infrastructure (CPFs and offsites).
• Capture lessons learned and identify and recommend improvements to the corrosion management system. Coordinate and communicate with all relevant departments (Maintenance, Exploitation, Technique, Wells, Subsurface etc…) in order to disseminate best corrosion management practices across the GB organisation.
• Assist with the planning and scheduling of corrosion inspection during plant and facilities shutdowns.
• Develop and implement methods and procedures for corrosion data capture and QA / QC, as well as data archiving. Analyse and identify trends in corrosion data using the Amulet C3 corrosion management software. Improve and optimise the existing corrosion databases, reports and spreadsheets.
• Provides support with developing effective tools for cost tracking and analysis (both CAPEX and OPEX). Identifies and recommends areas for cost optimisation.
• Manage service contracts and Service Contractors, in particular Contractor HS&E compliance and performance. Develops performance goals and performance criteria (KPIs) for Contractors, in order to ensure that a culture of continuous improvement is developed and maintained within the GB operation.
• Provide technical advice and information to all Operational Departments on the hazards associated with the chemicals applied in the treatment programmes. Coordinate closely with the HS&E Department to mitigate these risks using the GB tools and processes (programs and procedures, job safety analysis, risk assessments, PTW etc…)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering or related discipline. Active membership of SPE / NACE or other relevant professional organisations would be beneficial.

Required Experience:
• 10+ years experience in oil and gas industry upstream production operations, particularly in all aspects of flow assurance.
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and spoken, at all levels.
• Ability to analyse technical problems, find and justify solutions then implement and optimise them. Candidate will be proactive problem solver, experienced and comfortable within a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural work environment.
• Proficient with standard MS software, in particular Excel. Proficient with managing and analysing large volumes of data. Experience with corrosion management software (in particular Amulet C3) would be beneficial.

Additional experience/requirements:
• Fluent English essential.
• Knowledge of French a definite asset & Arabic beneficial, but not essential.
• Cultural awareness and ability to adapt gained through experience in MENA region would be a definite asset, but not essential.
• English, (French would be advantageous but not mandatory)
• Effective people management & Team development ability required eg proven Mentorship role
• Must be ambitious and independent, able to effectively analyse and solve problems in different areas. Highly developed management skills to get the best from your staff. Must be organised and decisive and capable of managing an emergency situation effectively.
