The Role:
◦Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Client corrosion management system.
◦Monitor key performance indicators that enable the implementation and effectiveness of corrosion management measures to be measured and trended.
◦Maintain corrosion control matrices. Assist in the review of chemical treatment, chemical sampling, and corrosion monitoring requirements.
◦Develop and maintain corrosion risk assessment documentation that supports quantification of probability and consequence of failure; and risk ranking for asset specific corrosion threats.
◦Assist in the development and maintenance of corrosion mitigation and monitoring manuals.
◦Develop, with integrity engineer, prioritised risk based inspection plans aligned with identified corrosion threats.
◦Provide discipline support to corrosion management team meetings. Collate and disseminate necessary information to relevant parties.
◦Maintain currency of all database systems employed in support of corrosion management activities.
◦Ensure efficient implementation of corrosion monitoring workscopes (corrosion coupon retrieval; corrosion probe download; microbial surveys; dissolved O2 surveys).
◦Compile reports that summarise and draw conclusion on the status of corrosion threats per installation.
◦Review relevant defect and in-service failure reports. Assist in identification of appropriate investigations and dissemination of key learnings.
◦Provide input into the selection of specialist sub contract services. Assist in management of sub contract activity including cost control, budget management, preparation of work schedules, and resource levelling.
◦Safety Awareness: Shows awareness of goals and standards. Follows through to ensure that their own and others work is carried out with safety in mind and whilst quality and productivity standards are met.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
◦Honours degree or equivalent professional qualification in natural sciences, materials or engineering.
◦Professional membership of an appropriate engineering institution, e.g. Chartered Engineer or Chartered Scientist.
◦Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate.
◦Technical: Understands technical or professional aspects of work and continually maintains technical knowledge. Ability to deploy discipline specific design, engineering & operational standards/ procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards, whilst maximising life cycle value.
◦Planning & Organising: Organises and schedules events and activities. Establishes work-scopes and schedules, monitors time-scales and plans. Ability to co-ordinate with other functions to plan, monitor and control project activities and input into project/ asset plans in timely fashion
◦Quality Assurance: Shows awareness of goals and standards. Follows through to ensure that quality, safety, technical and productivity standards
