The Role:
This position reports to Pipeline, Inspection & Corrossion Team Lead in the Engineering & Maintenance Department. The individual will be supporting all aspects of Materials and Corrosion Engineering. This includes technical support of inspection, change management, projects, turnaround, and maintenance activities.
Position will be the technical Authority for Internal Corrosion issues
1.Provide inspection and corrosion support and advice on inspection issues including development of major inspection/ testing/servicing/change-out programmes of vessels, pressure safety valves, tanks and lifting equipment, including maintenance of databases.
2.Define, validate and update inspection philosophies, strategies, plans and routine procedures for existing and new production facilities, to reduce life cycle costs through risk-based inspection.
3.Carry out trouble shooting, failure analysis and control monitoring and analysis of all static equipment.
4.Develop corrosion management philosophy, strategy, long term plans for existing and new facilities and implement the group common Corrosion Management System with the aim of adopting a risk based inspection strategy.
5.Monitor and review corrosion/materials aspects of facilities integrity management activities and feedback.
6.To provide input and justification of short and long term annual maintenance budgets..

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1.A good engineering background with 10 years experience in the oil/gas industry. Has very good knowledge of the relevant static facilities.
2.Posses in-depth knowledge of technical/analytical integrity inspection/certification requirements and techniques plus maintenance and attended relevant training/courses.
3.Certified competent by recognised training bodies.
4.Certified/approved inspector of pressure vessels, steam receivers, steam containers and boilers by the Factories Inspectorate Department, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity.
5.Occupied senior supervisory positions on relevant jobs in the past.
