The Company:
A major French operating oil company is seeking for a eligible Engineer to support their project being based in contractor's location in KL.

The Role:
To ensure the quality of the engineering documents prepared by the contractor, and to comment promptly and approve Contractor deliverables via EDMS (PRODOM), in accordance with contract procedures and requirements.
Manage all the project specification and study dossiers related with corrosion in order that the approved dossier will be the reference for the construction documents related with corrosion (procedure, ITP,…) of the Contractor and its vendor.
Supervise and control the detailed engineering by timely reviewing the disciplines-related documentation issued by Contractor (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests...), in order to ensure compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures (when applicable), international norms and standards with the objective to ensure respect of the schedule and to optimise costs without impacting required level of Quality and Safety
Provide senior expertise in painting-coating application to the project construction activities including application of passive fire protection, in order to ascertain the plant will be built as per drawings, specification, procedures and schedule
Coordinate Site and Yard QA/QC activities in related to topside equipment and jacket painting, pipeline, riser and field joint coating application whenever required, such as Production Qualification Test (PQT), Pre-Production Test (PPT), Production, and punch list clearance
Ensure that factory acceptance test of anodes is done properly and be present in the vendor premise to witness.
Review and comments corrosion documents including painting-coating Procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Cathodic Protection Design, developed by EPSC Contractors in due time
Perform close coordination with QA/QC inspectors in order that the implementation of painting-coating by CTR teams is properly done throughout Project phases in accordance with DGEP referential
Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE in all the corrosion related technical documents, to respect the Project HSSE requirements and to ensure implementation of HSSE rules
Ensure daily liaison with Contractor(s) with regards to corrosion-related matters.
Participate to weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Contractor(s) as appropriate
Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues
Participate to project reviews as requested by Company requirements (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, PTR...) and prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits for his/her discipline.
Coordinate with DEV/TEC/COR in reviewing technical deviation requests and to keep updated the documentation related to his discipline and to ensure that any deviation is properly managed technically (e.g. with derogation when necessary).
Interface actively with other discipline engineers and other project engineers as necessary on all engineering, procurement, constructability, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work.
To ensure confidentiality of all the discipline-related documentation produced (To gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to other TOTAL E&P entities) as required.
Any other work of a similar nature as may be requested by COMPANY.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree from a recognized University in the discipline.
Engineer with at least 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry in Corrosion/Inspection engineering:
Experience in painting and coating (internal and external) of structural, equipment and pipelines on yard/factory/site.
Experience in cathodic protection design and/or monitoring.
Experience in internal corrosion monitoring.
Experience in the qualification and application of pipeline and bend coating systems for high temperature (150oC) applications particularly FBE and 3LPP.
Proficient with Oil and Gas International Codes and Standards for the discipline (previous experience with COMPANY referential would be appreciated).
Hold individual certification as painting and coating inspector and cathodic protection from an approved organization (ACQPA, FROSIO, NACE).
Good knowledge of international safety legislation, codes and standards .
Fluency in English (speaking and writing) with good
