The Company:
Our client, a major oil company, has an immediate need for a Cost Administrator.

The Role:
The Cost Administrator will work closely with Procurement and the Task Managers for SAGD Drilling, Completions and Interventions and Winter Evaluation Programs (including drilling, seismic, abandonment and well completions & equipment), Waddell Base Camp, and other programs as required in the preparation of Purchase Requisitions and the entry of such into SAP. Track costs and complete Service Entries in SAP for SAGD Drilling & Completions and Winter Programs (including drilling, seismic, well abandonment and well completions & equipment), Waddell Base Camp, and other programs as required.

• Verify mathematical accuracy on approximately 16,000 field tickets and invoices
• Verify that correct rates are charged as per the Contract Rate Sheet and Purchase Orders
• Ensure that the appropriate Purchase Order is attached to the ticket prior to doing a service entry
• Create purchase requisitions as instructed by the task managers
• Verify that the service has been received as per contract

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Accounting/office administration diploma/technical certificate is preferred
• Computer literate in Word, Excel, and SAP (1-3 years experience); has demonstrated the ability to learn new computer systems
• Ability to learn and follow work processes

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Independent work ethic and at the same time, ability to be a strong team player with a “hands on” attitude to cooperate effectively in a matrix organization
• Excellent written and oral command of English
• Strong interpersonal skills
