The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
The position is to provide administrative assistance to the Project and/or Well Engineering Managers. This assistance will focus on the costs of drilling programmes, cost variances in accordance with Well Engineering/Contractors.

Main responsibilities:
• Create Purchase Requisitions in SAP using Drilling/Completion Schedules for all vendors required to participate in preparing for and drilling & completing each well
• Create other miscellaneous Purchase Requisitions required for Well Engineering
• Complete Service Entry Sheets and Goods Receipts upon receiving supporting approved documentation
• Action queries from Accounts Payable via SAP Workflow for discrepancies when invoices are not correct to Purchase Order or Service Entry Sheets
• Provide assistance to Well Engineers, Well Engineering Accountant & Cost Engineers for monitoring of costs per well to ensure correct close-out of wells costs
• Ensure Contract and Procurement processes are upheld
• Maintain necessary spreadsheet data require to assist Well Engineering Accountant cost tracking
• Maintain Well Engineering Invoice Register
• Attend weekly Team Meeting and Well Engineering Monthly meetings
• Complete Timesheets in SAP regularly
• Liaise with Vendors in regard queries relating to Well Engineering transactions
• Implement best practices/lead continuous improvements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Understanding of best practice cost control and project accounting techniques
• Experience in cost forecasting
• Experience in Cost Allocation
• Good communicator, oral and written, comfortable interfacing at all levels
• Will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• SAP experience – Highly desirable
• Tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting
• Tracking costs in a Well Engineering Environment
