The Company:
Our client is a leading global operator with offices in over 10 countries and worldwide oilfield projects. In in order to support the delivery of a major offshore exploration project we are looking to recruit a Cost Analyst into a permanent position to be based in Doha.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates for business planning and planned project activity
• Prepare and update monthly reporting for spend relating to construction, drilling and operational activity
• Track and report actual spent and variations against cost centre budgets and estimates
• Prepare monthly accruals and other cost reporting information
• Flag potential cost overspend and reasons for any discrepancies
• Co-ordinate and resolve invoice issues including new spend approvals with the finance team
• Cross checks and ensures material requisition/invoices are coded properly and they have the appropriate back-up documentation
• Validate invoice pricing against contracted pricing

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to receive applications from candidates with the following key skills and experience:

• A degree in an Accounting or cost related discipline
• Excellent IT skills to include Excel, Oracle and knowledge of SAP
• A minimum of 3-5 years cost control and analysis experience
• Previous M East and oil and gas industry employment essential
