The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
The Cost Analyst will have the responsibility :

• Conduct invoice attestation of actual billings for compliance against Contract/PO and resolve any disputed amounts with contractor, engaging the Commercial Coordinator as required.
• Complete attestation of Corporate Purchase Cards (PCards) and expense/travel claims submitted for payment ensuring compliance with cost & travel related processes.
• Track all invoices sent for approval and ensure reasonable turnaround times.
• Process invoices against Contracts/ PO's within Prism to ensure adequate funds are available to cover expenses and provide support as necessary to resolve any shortfalls/discrepancies.
• Ensure all contract binders and time & materials reports are up to date to facilitate invoice processing.
• Work with Project Controls and Supply Chain in closing out completed contracts/PO's or clearing older items in Prism.
• Complete monthly review of invoices and charges processed in JD Edwards to ensure all items are processed in Prism, more specifically,:
Confirm that all invoices processed in JD Edwards were also processed in Prism:
Prepare monthly cost report from JDE for corporate direct charges, labour, overheads, PCard expenditures, expense/travel claims and provide to Project Controls for inclusion in incurred costs.
Reconcile LCP PMT timesheet database to contractor approved timesheets and invoices and ensure contractor charges are properly recorded for incurred costs.
• Foster good working relationships with Corporate Accounts Payable function.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Cost Analyst will previous experience:

Five (5) years experience in project accounting. An excellent understanding of contractual arrangements and structures and the ability to interpret them for attestation of invoices. Working knowledge of JD Edwards and Prism is desirable.
