The Company:
Operator Oil & Gas Company located in Downtown - Houston, TX. This role is responsible for establishing D & C budgets, controlling / forecasting D & C costs and interfacing with
D & C Project Manager & Engineers. This position is contract for at least 2 years with full Medical, Dental, Vision & 401K - from day one.

The Role:
Responsible for establishing Drilling & Completions budgets and controlling / forecasting D & C costs -

­ Establish and maintain work breakdown structure (WBS) and associated coding to control, forecast and report D & C costs; ensure that structure is compatible with project requirements and standards.

­ In conjunction with the D & C team, establish the baseline budget based on the sanctioned project estimate; generate basis of estimate documentation and obtain management approval.

­ Create a master cost book from P.O.’s, contracts etc which can be used for generating well estimates.

­ Establish baseline monthly WIP estimate based on project schedule and daily rig reports.

­ Establish schedule for generating D & C AFE’s based on the project schedule; coordinate assembly, review and approval of AFE’s including presentation documentation.

­ Establish project specific procedures for tracking and forecasting D & C costs including change control.

­ Interface with:

• Finance; input to reporting and forecasting
• SCM; contracts / PO’s, invoice coding, SAP processing
• Global D & C; estimating and benchmarking

­ During drilling operations, participate in daily rig calls and provide timely notification of potential over/under runs.

­ Generate monthly cost reports and Work In Place (WIP) forecasts with supporting assumptions and documentation; provide updated forecasts for future months and for overall AFE’s.

­ Conduct monthly cost and change reviews with D & C teams and issue reports with variance analysis; provide approved information to lead cost engineer for production of overall monthly cost reports.

­ Produce ad-hoc reports and presentations on cost and change data that may be required by the D & C and Project Teams.

­ Prepare and maintain log for contractor and vendor invoices and ensure that these are properly cost coded and checked prior to approval by the responsible party.

- Review and audit contractors cost management procedures and reports.

- Provide input to Project and D & C closeout report.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 yrs project control experience; min. 5 yrs supporting Operator D & C Team

- Preferably, Degree in Business or Engineering

- Fully proficient in MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint

- Working knowledge of SAP and Finance systems
