The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Cost Engineer II - Mid Level Experience to join the North East Office on an agency Contract hire basis, Duration of work 6-12 months + future on-going work

The key elements of the role are :

Responsible for the Cost Control Function on the Project assigned.
Responsible for trending costs and informing the appropriate parties of changes to indicated final project costs using the management of change procedure.
Ability to interface directly with project team and client as required.
Responsible for the analysis and reporting of cost data associated with project status reports for project and client management.
Responsible for the preparation of project financial reports & payment applications/certification.
Responsible for the preparation of cost reports and performance curves.
Available to travel, as needed, in order to perform functions such as construction site inspection, information gathering, and / or client meetings.
Responsible for the preparation of change orders and inform appropriate parties to indicate final costs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To participate directly in cost tracking activities.
To prepare cash flow calculations, profit analysis calculations and appropriate reviews.
To coordinate cost interfaces with other corporate groups and project teams.
The preparation of cost estimates covering any or all of the phases of a project from Conceptual Studies to Commissioning.
Utilisation of standard WP Improve UK Microsoft Excel templates to compile estimates.
Establish appropriate estimating norms to utilise on the estimate from either: self-acquired, recognised publications; Worley Parsons in-house data available from the engineering disciplines, estimating databases; contractor and/or client provided information.
Analyse/interrogate equipment quotations and sub contract prices for the works and to condition the prices appropriately for the estimate.
