The Role:
Key accountabilities • To work with the team of cost engineers within delivery team supporting the various infrastructure, fabrication, installation and commissioning areas ensuring timely and high quality delivery against the following cost engineering activities as required: • Demonstrate HSE leadership by actively engaging the Company site team and construction contractors with actions that contribute to delivering on Company’s HSE expectations • Assist preparation of cost data for their assigned Delivery Team including but not limited to budgets, commitments, Value of Work Done (VOWD), forecasting, capex time-phasing (capex management), reporting and analysis. • Assist development and maintenance of progress including consolidation of calculations and analysis of contractor and vendor monthly inputs. Ensure verification of daily labour return and weekly labour calculation. Review and verify the contractors monthly report (including verification of lump sums) • Work with cost control tools including Work / Cost Breakdown Structures (WBS / CBS), Company Cost Database System (the Company version of Kildrummy® CostMANAGER), SAP (General Ledger), Project Management of Change (MOC) register, Risk Register, etc. • Ensure correct coding of all requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, estimates, and ensuring these are updated and maintained in the Company Cost Database. • Support reviewing and agreement of approval of Contractors Interim Application for Payment, monthly valuations / payment certificates; Verification of daily / weekly labour cost reports and preparing back up documentation packs where needed for compliance / audit requirements. • Interface with Contractor in respect of various weekly and monthly reports preparation. • Raising of requisitions (Desktop Requisitions via Maximo), reconcile costs between the ledger (SAP) and the Company Cost Database (KCM). • Maintain a register to cost risks (threats and opportunities) and ensure that this is regularly updated based on the latest information from the construction delivery team and Contracts (PSCM), Finance functions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Education • Degree in Science, Engineering or similar discipline (e.g. Quantity Surveying)
Essential experience and job requirements • Prior construction-related cost engineering experience. • Prior experience interfacing and working together with owner and contractor project services personnel. • Prior experience closely aligned with job responsibilities.
Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location) • Ability to work well in a team environment of mixed-experience, mixed-nationality cost engineers at a construction site in Baku • Influencing and communication skills in English language. • Ability to work under own initiative. • Able to work well under pressure and produce quality reports and data against tight deadlines • Good inter-personal skills and behaviours (equivalent to Level I Company staff or higher). • Ability to produce good quality written reports and summary presentations – able to communicate clarity from complexity. • Competent with computers and IT including ex
