The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen on a 6 month contract in Perth for a Cost Estimation Engineer. The position will support the Project Support Services Manager to provide the Project Manager with the necessary cost estimating insights and deliverables and to efficiently plan and manage ongoing cost estimating activities for competitive and predictable project outcomes.

The role will include:
• Review the project Gas Export Pipeline Phase 4 (execution phase) Class 2 cost estimate and the assumptions that support these deliverables.
• Revise and update as appropriate the Gas Export Pipeline Phase 4 estimate through engagement and communication with multiple contractors and owner team organization stakeholders
• Ensure the quality and consistency of the estimate by either contractor or project team to meet company guidelines
• Assist the project team as required to develop the company's Phase 2 (pre-FEED) and Phase 3 (FEED) work program and budget
• Develop and communicate estimate related presentations as required
• Assist the project team and other owner team organization stakeholders as required to provide subject matter expert input relating to estimation matters

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: BS preferred or equivalent experience BSc (UK)
Experience: 9 + years

• Demonstrated advanced understanding of Estimating core processes and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in EPC estimating practices and methods, including demonstrated ability to review and present cost estimating products with a minimum of supervision.
• Understanding of project schedules and ability to predict/extrapolate cost curves based on experience of schedule activities/cost correlation analysis.
• Thorough understanding of cost indices and escalation projections.
• Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement and construction methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
• Knowledge of global market pricing and construction practices.
• Skilled in oral and written communications with demonstrated ability to present Estimating information to peers and management.
