The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility of the PMC Cost Control team who will be based in different geographical locations
• Interfacing with Client on cost control issues
• Responsible for leading, coordinating and communicating the cost control requirements and ensuring PMC's contractual obligations in regards to cost control are met
• Consolidating and analysis of cost information from EPC contractor PMC teams
• Issuing Monthly Cost Reports (client and corporate), Manpower Plans, Personnel Approval Reports, Cashflow, Change Registers
• Invoice checking and issuing to client
• Identifying and analysing deviations and trends against budgets. Investigate deviations with relevant groups, advise management of issues and recommend corrective actions
• Manage commercial risk and recommend mitigation options
• Use technical understanding to communicate and influence PCM's, PM's and Client

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree preferred
• Proven cost engineering experience within Petrochemical or similar industries
• Experience of PMC/EPC projects in Refining/Petrochemicals including projects greater than USD 500 million
• Proactive approach to solving problems and getting the job done
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, energetic and tenacious
• Willing to share information and develop junior staff
