The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Division: TVM
Location: 18 - LandRover - Gaydon(LRGAYD)

"Project leader of Material Cost Reduction task on all current vehicles within a Brand or Platform, and support of programme teams delivery of future product cost targets.

To work with Vehicle Line Director's, Chief Programme Engineer's, Programme Teams and CoC's plus the wider business to deliver vehicle line business plan cost reduction targets.

Use TVM tools and processes to identify and manage Design Cost Reduction actions through to implementation, working with Programme Teams, CoC's and the wider business, as appropriate. Lead and organise vehicle specific idea generation events to identify margin improvement opportunities, (cost down, revenue up)

• Report vehicle line material costs (design and non design) status up to Level 1 (MCR reporting) Progress approval of ideas, co-ordinating resolution of technical, design and financial issues. Secure and manage Project funding accordingly.
•Project Manage delivery through PD and TVM processes, working closely with the CoC's, CBL's and downstream areas to ensure robust Project leadership, Change management and introduction.
•Develop and maintain linkages to VLBR and Programme activities. Development of MegaProject proposals, engaging in cross functional project management and liaison with core Programme teams.
•Reporting and approval of Megaproject portfolio up to and including Board sponsors. Leadership of the TVM Annual Process toolset. Leadership of the TVM budgeting and approvals process including TFLE, FIRR and cross functional TVM budget allocation."

Additional Information :
Although primary location is Gaydon the role may require travel between all sites (Whitley / Castle Bromwich / Solihull / Halewood

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) Proven project management skills, including support for product development, New model programmes and supplier projects.
2) Ability to direct/support multi-functional teams in the delivery of Cost reduction activities.
3) Motivate team to build vehicle line action plans - to annual targets and ensure robust delivery of TVM projects.
Experience Required:
•TVM, Benchmarking, VA/VE and other lean tools GPDS & Engineering Change Processes Plant and NML Process Good organisation Lowest Total Cost Mindset Degree educated, with familiarity of programme management activities."
Experience Preferred:
•Conducting supplier based workshops and design ideas generation events to generate cost and revenue opportunities.
