The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of a Cost/Schedule Planner in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
• The scope of the work is several interrelated IRD and proof-of-concept projects in drilling automation and DEO optimization through 2012. The great majority of the spend is Client staff and contractor time. The total effort is 24 FTEs in 2011 and 2012 plus equipment expenditures of $2 mln per year.
• The selected person will generate cost reports using SERP (with assistance of SSU), manage individual sub-project schedules within MS Project. He/she will identify in advance any problems in cost or schedule and work to resolve the problems in coordination with the sub-project leader.
The selected person will also assist with procurement of equipment and manpower, and maintain a project risk register.

The Cost/Schedule Planner would need to assist with:
• Project controls process and system.
• List of plans required to execute the project and their hierarchy relationship.
• Cost management procedures.
• Planning and progress monitoring procedures.
• Cost breakdown structures, estimates, records and forecasts for the timely submission into the investment documentation.
• Work breakdown structure, activities, logic, resources and progress of the integrated project schedule, i.e. baseline.
• Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets for phased cost estimates for the project in line with the company.
• Accurate monthly cost reports.
• Monthly progress updates, forecast completions, together with the critical path and trend analyses.
• Contract key dates, milestones and Company plan dates for alignment with the overall integrated plan.
• Probabilistic techniques to determine and communicate the possible range of cost and schedule outcomes for the project.
• Analyses of trends that offer early warning of any deviations and scope change requests for the total installed cost & schedule impact Prepare reconciliations between earlier cost estimates and the current cost forecast.
• IM framework, documenting project strategy and plan for knowledge, data, document, and correspondence management.
