The Company:
A major oil and gas client

The Role:
Responsible for providing the information required by the Project Team to adequately control each project and ultimately control and forecast the project program. Coordination, funding, and cost tracking of projects. In close coordination with extended project team, develop and maintain program schedules and cost reports. Enhance project performance metrics tracking, including cost and scheduling benchmarks. Report on overall spend metrics and develop value earned forecasts.

Typically requires three to five years of experience. Under a moderate level of guidance and direction, builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers. Requires knowledge and experiences in own discipline. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.

Schedule: 9/80 or 5/40 (Candidate Preference)

Basic Purpose/Accountabilities:

∙ Engage as an active member of the project management team to help deliver GKA Small Projects.
∙ Maintain project spend plans and schedules within the GKA Small Project Management System.
∙ Analyze project information looking for risks, deviations, and upcoming needs.
∙ Work with the program lead and project leaders to take corrective action as needed to maintain the project plan.
∙ Manage the Small Project Closeout Process.
∙ Communicate monthly spend and future forecasts to the organization.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

∙ Be knowledgeable about the project plans and objectives.
∙ Work to create alternative plans that are realistic and achievable.
∙ Frequent contact with slope execution planners to obtain and provide information in support and develop Latest Estimates (LE’s) of Operations managed projects.
∙ Processing of appropriation requests (AR) for Capital Projects.
∙ Portfolio cost analysis and reporting.
∙ Support of continuous improvement efforts in the areas of cost efficiency, schedule, process, collaboration and coordination of work.
∙ Responsible for the development and maintenance of a portfolio schedule that will ultimately contain 100-200 projects Small Capital Projects.
∙ Update actual costs and future forecasts on each project.
∙ Build project plans in SAP per established protocols.
∙ Analyze and report established KPIs.
∙ Route appropriations requests as needed.
∙ Generate and code PMOs as needed to support their representation within the portfolio management system.
∙ Assist the North Slope Integrated Operations (NSIO) Team in meeting its goals.
∙ Work to develop project control systems as needed to achieve the business objectives and optimize the management system.
∙ Work to financially closeout completed projects.
∙ Work to assemble estimate information that can be used to fund, control and monitor the project.
∙ Coordinate the preparation and approval of contractor Service Purchase Orders (SPO) to authorize work.
∙ Work with the project lead or other resources to develop total project cost, performance, and forecast reports for review by project team.
∙ Develop monthly cash flow report and variance analyses.
∙ Communicate difficult issues to management and obtain their support for resolving resource or scope conflicts.
∙ Ensure the direct and indirect labor unit estimate is represented in the resource-loaded schedule, including the design allowances.
∙ Review schedule with the Project Team.

∙ Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and technical staff
∙ Demonstrated high levels of initiative and self-motivation, including the ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment
∙ Well-developed planning skills including the ability to meet commitments and produce desired results

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required Skills:
∙ Project Controls Expertise – Scheduling, budgeting, forecasting
∙ SAP knowledge
∙ Primavera Scheduling proficiency (Preferred)
∙ MS Excel proficiency

Education / Experience:
∙ 5+ years of project controls experience
