The Company:
Our client is a major independent operator with a track record in commercial delivery for large scale deep water oil and gas projects in Africa. To assist in ensuring the continued delivery of projects in Guinea, West Africa we are now looking to recruit an experienced professional into a Country Manager role on a residential basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activities:

• Acting as the companies senior in-country representative coordinating local stakeholder’s relations
• Set up and manage the day to day running of the office and employees
• Identify new business and opportunities for growth
• Deliver the exploration work program in line with deadlines including operational readiness for deep water drilling activity
• Actively maintain government and JV partner relations
• Take the lead in planning and rolling out the CSR and any local content initiatives
• Effectively recruit and maintain in-country delivery team
• Manage and deliver operational and company budgets

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to receive applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• A proven leader with extensive experience in managing a multi disciplinary team for an operated asset
• Previous exploration and production experience to include drilling operations
• Proven track record in financial planning and managing budgets
• Experience of working in Africa or a similar location
• Able to take up a residential posting
• English and French language skills
