The Role:
-Liaise with manufacturer on delivery, installation and commissioning of cranes on vessels
- Liaise with lifting system integrator on assurance case under DNV E407, trials programme and technical qualification strategy of crane system.
- Liaise with DNV class to certify crane system to E407 standard and its inclusion in ABS CRC certification.
- Liaise with subcontractors, such as rope maker, AHC control system provider and tension provide, to ensure that cranes function as intended in its environment of use.
- Review and, as necessary, contribute to contents of crane operations manual.
- Select, provide competency assurance and training for crane operators
- Plan and supervise sea trials programme
- Develop and implement Planned Maintenance System
- Ensure that records and documentation required under class are up to date and complete
- Budget management for crane, spare parts, operations and drivers and inventory management for crane and spare parts.
- Negotiate and implement technology agreement with lifting system integrator for continued support post delivery
- Act as crane technical consultant for clients

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
At least chief engineer's STCW licence or degree in engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Industrial), or Naval Architecture
At least 5 years of experience working with AHC Cranes
Possess working experience in subsea lifting operations, AHC crane engineering or design, mechanical engineering on lifting systems and planned maintenance systems
Understanding of class rules for lifting systems
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and documentation skills
Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in project management
Hass dynamic personality and is also customer -orientated, resourceful and meticulous
A self-starter who can perform independently and in a team
Candidates with experience in vessel new builds and equipment commissioning will be preferred.
Willing to be based in Singapore with frequent travel to Batam (Indonesia) and spend time on vessels for sea trials and commissioning
