The Role:
Location: Benchamas
Job Description:
• Operate all makes / types of platform cranes.
• Able to identify and know function of main components on all cranes.
• Able to read crane load chart.
• Have good understanding of all crane safe work practices, JSA, pre / post inspection, hand signaling for crane operation.
• Have good knowledge in basic rigging practices. Conduct safe & simple lifting plan.
• Understand construction / type of wire rope. Perform wire rope lubrication
• Perform visual inspection & color coding of portable lifting equipment. Understand PLE marking & identification system.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Perform the upkeep and general maintenance of the cranes on the main and support facilities with the highest reliability and safety.
• Notify immediately the Maintenance Superintendent or the Mechanical Supervisor of any faults, defects, hazardous, or unsafe conditions with any equipment so that immediate remedial action can be taken.
• Perform duties with awareness to avoid dangerous situations, such as, overloading, excessive swing, sudden drops/lifts, obstruction of crane movement, etc.
• Carry out daily inspection of cranes and related equipment
• Maintain operating logs on cranes and equipment, keeping track particularly to high stress components, such as wire ropes and slings.
• Perform a high standard of good housekeeping at workplace.
• Understand the company’s Health, Environmental Protection and Safety policies and procedures, crane law.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualification:
• Grade 12 high school.
• Minimum 2 years experience in offshore operation.
• Crane operator class A.
• TEPPI 35 or TOEIC 200.
• Holding valid Marine certificate (HELMSMAN).
