The Role:
• Responsible jobs for the safe and efficient offshore cranes in our operations are safe ie. zero fatality & injury, no environment damage, etc.
• Responsible for the health, safety, security and environment in our operation of GOT.
• To provide guidance and training to his subordinate.
• To generate crane maintenance & efficiently in terms of the lowest operating cost.
• At least a experience in the maintenance of offshore cranes including the repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and diesel driven prime movers
• Possess and be able to demonstrate good communication both verbal and written
• Be able to establish and maintain good working relationships.
• Be able to display a good team spirit.
• Be observant and able to react to situations requiring immediate decision.
• Carry out both routine and planned maintenance and repair activities on Offshore cranes and associated component parts comprising of but not limited to, power plant, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, winches, sheaves, ropes etc,
• Carry out and document all necessary planned maintenance routine and periodic maintenance tasks including spares usage
• Maintain a clean and tidy work site at all times. Dispose rubbish in accordance with local procedure.
• To ensure that all spare parts and materials utilized are in good order and fit for purpose
• Coordinate all other spares required to ensure the continuous operation and availability of the platform cranes
• Work with independent verification inspectorate in carrying out periodic inspections and load testing.
• Assist as required within the individual abilities the platform maintenance crew on other mechanical plant.
• To carry out general maintenance, servicing and deck support duties
• Attend courses as deemed necessary by company commensurate with individual’s position
• Carry out other tasks deemed within individuals training and competence.
• Coordinate with onshore workshop to carry out repairs on crane components etc and general workshop duties,
• Supervise Engineers & Manage inspection work, correct deficiency and certify the crane safety and integrity as required by Thai Law every 6 months / Po-Jo 1 &2 ( ≤ 250 HP)
• Manage & control crane steel structure welding procedure, material selection, QA&QC and include NDT inspection qualification for structure repair according to standard ASME, ANSI/AWS D1.1 standards (Section 2. material, Section 5. NDT, Section 9.welder qualification and Structural welding)
• Apply and integrate all engineer standard such as related API’s and manufacturer to insure that cranes will be in the safest operating condition
• Provides input into future strategy for crane management in GOT.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Candidate preferably possess certificated & Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, (member council of Engineers)
• Male. Age: 30-45 Years old.
• Able to spoken and written English. (TOEIC test = 300)
• Could be able to work onshore or offshore as necessary.
• Knowledgeable in HSSE (H=Health, S=Safety, S=Security, E= environment) and Oil & Gas operations are highly preferable.
• Independent, self-motivated, possess leadership quality, result-orientated and possess good interpersonal skills.
• Good computer knowledge skills in Microsoft applications.
• Good coordination, services mind, and positive attitude.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Preferably has minimum 5 years’ crane experience, but will also consider alternatives.
• Familiar with APIRP 2C Specifications and RP2D Recommended Practices would be an added advantage.
• Ability to conduct Validation & Verification of Crane Inspections, Preventive Maintenance, load testing and major overhaul/ repairs including submitting comprehensive written reports.
• Preferably with experience in conducting training for maintenance technicians & crane operators.
• Good communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• The incumbent has to ensure maintenance through the offshore crane is conducted in accordance with specific requirements and meets set specifications. He has to monitor and control the operations and ensure it is conducted effectively, efficiently and safety.
