The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Crankshaft Engineer Procuring and managing multiple machine tools covering a wide range of machining processes including balancing, high-speed milling, grinding and super-finishing. Installing, commissioning and launching crankshaft production facilities at customer plants Identifying and driving robust resolution of product design manufacturing feasibility & manufacturing process issues Driving continuous improvements in investment efficiency, process stability and robustness, flexibility & manufacturing cost per unit within and between engine programs. Providing technical expertise to team problem-solving activities to accurately identify root cause and implement robust corrective actions Ensuring our customers expect the best, and so do we. You'll have a strong track record of working as part of a team to meet tough deliverables in powertrain or associated disciplines and have either an appropriate engineering degree or HNC/HND level in Engineering combined with proven experience of working in a machining environment. integration of Lessons Learned into all current and future programmes
Taking your place as Crankshaft Manufacturing Engineer, you'll support the design, development, installation and launch of quality-focused, efficient crankshaft production processes for our new engines. In doing so, you'll play an integral part in the development of our plants, and our rapidly-expanding future. It's a role in an incredibly exciting journey.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of high-precision machining processes (particularly grinding, polishing, turning & high-speed milling) is essential and proven experience of facility installation and commissioning would be highly desirable

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Supporting the planning, process design and development of complete crankshaft production facilities globally, that meets our quality, volume and cost goals and delivers operational excellence
