The Role:
Job Duties:
• Coordinate NDT and labor crews on inspection tasks
• Coordinate with operations and personnel on schedule, baseline resources, and remaining work
• Ensure inspection sites are returned to normal after inspection work is complete
• Complete daily progress reports
• Perform random quality control of processed inspection data
Summary
Crew Field Manager (CFM) should have experience managing crews in remote environments as well as corrosion inspection related
experience. This person needs strong communication and supervision skills as well as a technical background in corrosion
monitoring. The position requires strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Detail
• CFM is responsible to IME for the efficiency of the crews, the completion of the scope of work, coordination of crew
personnel to complete site requirements, and commutation with each asset of impending crew movement and asset inspections.
• CFM will collaborate with the onsite operators and crew to determine the most efficient approach on how Pipe Integrity
Testing (PIT) activity will progress to maximize efficiency, and to minimize and prevent delays.
• CFM responsibility is to ensure all sites at the facility are closed up and completed before moving and will communicate
asset completion to onsite operators before moving to the next station. CFM is to ensure all inspection sites are restored to normal
condition after inspection and data analysis is complete.
• CFM will perform a quality control checks to ensure efficient operation of each crew member.
• CFM is a Facilities’ Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all on-site PIT issues to include environmental, safety, quality,
integrity and administration.
• CFM will review the redlined drawings made by the CET for accuracy and transmit them to IME and the project drafter. The
database checklist will be updated by the Corrosion Data Analyst (CDA) and reviewed by CFM to sufficiently reflect progress.
• CFM and CDA will work closely to ensure all required sites are inspected and data analyzed before moving out of the asset
area. One of the means of communion will be daily written progress reports distributed to CFM by CDA.
• CFM will ensure each crew member attends each asset’s project morning safety meeting to communicate areas of
inspection and be alerted to any changes to schedule. Following project meeting the PIT crew will attend a program specific meeting
and discuss program progress lessons learned. The CFM will distribute a daily report to all necessary parties reflecting crew
progress, delays, and current schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience
Strong Project Management Skills
Team leadership capabilities
Education: Undergraduate Degree
