The Role:
The role of Crude Oil Scheduler will allow the ideal candidate to play a pivotal role in delivering first production to the Houston office.
This is an opportunity for a junior oil and gas professional to establish and grow a general skillset as a commercial professional.
The Scheduler will coordinate activities with operator, pipeline companies, and customers as well as manage movements on pipeline systems.
A successful candidate will effectively work with other related functions including operations, accounting and finance to ensure all business needs are met.
In addition to primary scheduling role, opportunity exists for growth as Gulf of Mexico business unit matures.
Responsible for scheduling the movement of crude oil on connecting pipeline systems
Broad contributor to commercial activities in the Gulf of Mexico, including an active role in market analysis, transportation agreements, negotiations and company representation at partner meetings
Prepares Quality Bank analyses and pricing differentials
Verifies platform balances and first of month avails
Validates receipts and accuracy of monthly nominations
Coordinates volumes with 3rd party and pipeline companies
Nominates crude oil, and oversees 3rd party natural gas, and PTR nominations
Monitors imbalances to ensure the company does not incur major imbalances
Reviews and controls the company’s imbalances on platforms, pipelines, and gas processing plants
Prepares monthly worksheets and updates as needed
Prepares product flow diagrams and schematics
Monitors oil, natural gas, and LPG prices
Interfaces and supports finance and accounting with invoices, and accruals
Assist finance and accounting with issues and adjustments as needed
Performs business and systems requirements, and assist process design and develop functional and technical specifications
Performs other duties as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Two (2) or more years in crude oil scheduling role preferred
Experience with Openlink RightAngle software preferred
Bachelor Degree required: Engineering, Business, Finance preferred
Must be able to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions
Must work well in a team environment and must be comfortable clarifying ambiguous situations
Good analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Candidates must possess strong written and verbal skills and must be highly organized
