4 Roles available based on site at Irlam/Daresbury and possibly Hinton House (depending on experience) which is the customer site based in Birchwood, Warrington.

CS&A Technician
CSA Engineer
CS&A Snr Engineer
CSA Principal Engineer

The business is looking to recruit Permanent staff to reduce the cost of contractors to the business. Certain Functions and Projects at Cavendish have been identified as being particularly high in contractor numbers. We expect the work will be focused on Sellafield projects and the Decommissioning of Nuclear sites, but within this there will be a broad range of activities for the CS&A Team.

Location & Travel Requirements Bristol – Aztec West

Salary & Benefits £25k-£35k Technician
£30k - £40k Engineer
£40k - £50k Senior Engineer
£50k - £65k Principle Engineer

Role Grade
Relocation Offered Possibly – not to be used as attraction strategy.
Expected Start Date ASAP
Working Hours / Shift Patterns Standard Days - 37
Interview Format Technical and Competency based interview.
Level of Security Clearance Required
(Baseline, SC, DV, ITAR) Can start on BPSS, but SC will be required.
Documents to be presented at Interview May be Portfolio of work, but not essential
Documents to be presented at Offer Stage ID, PoA and Security Details.

Role Summary & Project Description (Describe core requirements and summarise overall objectives/challenges of the role)

Civils and Structural work across a variety of Projects relating to the DSA and decommissioning work, but there also be opportunities to work on New Build projects and the recently awarded Capenhurst contract. The company faces complex engineering issues and projects focus on strengthening current structures, Design Solutions and building renovation.

In relation to Structural work it will be related to Re-enforced Concrete and Stainless Steel.

Roads and drainage projects form the majority of Civil work.

This is a BIM environment (Building Information Management), candidates with BIM Level 1 experience would be well suited.

The role also includes Seismic work, but previous dynamics experience may also be well suited.

Technicians are expected to be experts in using Autodesk Revit for Detailed Design.

Skills, Experience & Competencies
Essential Desirable
Previous experience is essential – we cannot accommodate a Graduate.
Previous Design experience in concrete and steel.

Experience or an appreciation/understanding of designing in highly regulated industries/environment – Buildings, Rail, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas.

CS&A Technicians should be experienced users of REVIT.

Appropriate Qualifications commensurate with role applied for. Any experience of CSC software – TEDDS & Fastrak.
FEA experience
Working towards member/charter ICE or IStructE
Nuclear experience.
Business Information Modelling (BIM)
Autodesk REVIT, Vectorworks experience.
