The Role:
As Rotating Equipment Engineer position you shall be responsible for assuring the success of the Commissioning Contractor and for identifying and providing mitigations to any barriers to that success within the discipline area.
• Maintain visibility of rotating equipment status against project schedule. Works mitigation plans to address schedule threats;
• Act as a focal point for rotating equipment commissioning-related issues, directly liaising with Commissioning counterparts and embedded staff in the fabrication yards;
• Endorses procedures for the commissioning of rotating equipment;
• Work with Downstream Project Team and Commissioning Execution Team to develop a list of rotating equipment engineering discipline handover documentation and conduct selected review and audit prior to acceptance sign off;
• Develop understanding of and mitigate key risks to enable a successful start-up from a rotating equipment engineering perspective. Ensure project risk register is up to date with respect to rotating equipment related items and that assigned actions are closed out to meet the handover area deadlines.
• Provide guidance and experience to assist engineering, operations, and maintenance leaders in diagnosing and correcting operating problems associated with plant wide rotating equipment
• Act as a focal point for rotating equipment commissioning-related issues, directly liaising with Commissioning counterparts and embedded staff in the fabrication yards;
• Coordinates and helps develop work list for rotating equipment commissioning activities;
• Endorses procedures for the commissioning of rotating equipment;
• Provide rotating equipment engineering expertise to assure all Project Commissioning deliverables meet the required specifications and quality standard expectations of Asset Owner.

• and plans. Overseeing the execution of large gas turbine/compressor performance tests and on-site trouble-shooting.
• Interface with other specialists, e.g. ETC, vendors, laboratory, to resolve issues associated within their specific area.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications: Engineering Degree
• Minimum of 5 years relevant, practical experience, including experience in working with/influencing EPCM contractors in executing commissioning activities.
• Competent in complex Rotating Equipment.
