The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Working with the D7a programmes team, you are responsible for leading / supporting all aspects of chassis content for a new vehicle platform . As such we have a significant influence on the early stages of new programmes. Our aim is to ensure Delivery teams have the highest level of robustness. As Programme Leader support (Project Engineer) you will have direct responsibility for leading chassis content of your programme (or programmes depending on scale) You will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider team - Body/Electrical/Powertrain/ Vehicle Engineering, Programmes and Chassis Module Leaders/Technical Specialists. Your main objective will be drive the programme meeting gateway requirements & resolving disconnects/conflicts. There will be an opportunity to prepare and present in senior forums

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Project management skills - alignment and control of costs and technical assumptions - Ability to analyse information/data and present recommendation/conclusions concisely and to a senior audience. Must be IT literate (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) - Have a positive approach to finding solutions with a `can-do' attitude and be willing to question the `norm'. Changing requirements and priorities. - Have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. - Highly motivated self-starter and good team player Understanding of vehicle architecture desirable, particularly chassis components within the following systems: o Springs, Dampers & ARBs o Sub-frames and powertrain mounts o Suspension links and knuckles o Steering, Wheel & Tyres o Brakes. Experience in managing complex projects and delivering results through cross functional stakeholders. - Engineering / Automotive related

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level in Mechanical, Automotive or related engineering discipline. substantial automotive experience
