The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Responsible for the design and development of Damper, Springs and damper modules. The team deliver ground-up designs of all these components from concept through detail design and into production. Engineer is responsible for achieving performance targets for their components to facilitate meeting dynamic and durability requirements. Close interaction is required across all suspension teams, other chassis functions and suppliers in order to achieve this. Key Responsibilities - Ownership of components from concept to production - Ground-up design of components to meet or exceed performance targets - Design of components that adhere to departmental standards - Effective planning and delivery of overall layout, detail design, durability and validation - Derivation of Engineering Specifications, DFMEA, Delivery Timing Plans and Design Verification Plans (DVP). - Release of Engineering Drawings (WERS) - Supplier discussions and communications - Resolution of engineering issues throughout process (AIMS) - Leadership of other team members where applicable.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Demonstrated competence at delivering technical solutions on Springs, dampers and damper modules. Effective planning and delivery of overall layout. To quality, cost and timing. Demonstrated competence at engineering drawings and CAD models

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Adequate experience in an engineering role. Engineering Degree, Mechanical or Automotive. CAD experience. CATIA v5.
Proven problem solving skills
