The Role:
Job Title: Data Analyst/ System Advisor to Global Occupational Alcohol and Drug Manager
Position Type: Contract
Location: Houston, Texas.
Work Schedule: M-F 40 hrs. Minimum

Job Purpose:
Support global occupational alcohol and drug testing by presenting information on program performance through data extraction, joining, cleaning, analysis, display, and interpretation.
Also support Security and Controls Support for system application / Utility requirments.

Major Job Duties:
-On a scheduled or ad-hoc basis, analyze, interpret, and present corporate alcohol and drug testing policy performance information for internal and external audiences.
-Maintain compliance with Company’s Computer User responsibilities and Systems and Security Controls Requirements.
-Update system risk assessment, risk control mitigations etc
-Manage alcohol and drug testing information content and quality, and the alcohol and drug testing information system through interfaces with information technology, laboratories,
-Toxicologists, and alcohol and drug testing expert networks.
-Maintain technical currency on information security and data privacy issues that can impact Global operations.
-Manage and oversee encrypted file transfers from external providers
-Work with company computer programmers to make required structural changes to system utility and system utility reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Extensive use of SQL and MS Access queries on large, complex datasets; Analysis, visual display, interpretation, and presentation:
-Basic programing skills in Microsoft Visual Basic a plus but not required:
-Experience managing data quality reviews and reporting findings on complex databases
-System security and controls experience:
-Excellent communication skills
-Effective collaboration with diverse cultures
-Multitask and ability to handle requests with an expected short-turnaround time frame.
-Alcohol and drug related experience a plus but not required.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Database administration and system support.
-Bachelor of Science in mathematics, computing programing or health sciences. Quantitative Master’s Degree preferred but not necessary.
-Training in Statistics and/or Biostatistics desirable.
