The Role:
We have a request to recruit a Data Controller to work for the South Gas Project in Iraq.

Working Scheme: Commuter scheme (5/2 Commuting to Basra and various locations including Italy/UAE/Iraq/Kazakhstan)
Assignment Duration: 6 Months (renewable every 6 months for further 6 months)
Desired Start Date: 1ST July 2013

Principle accountabilities include, led by the respective Data Control Lead, in the given Capital Project (or multiple Projects) the Data Controller will:
1) Assist in the delivery of the project data control work instructions covering data validation and handover to Operations, based the Company’s specific data control delivery procedure.
2) Maintain the project reference data libraries for each data-oriented application.
3) Manage the collection, integration, and validation of data from the execution contractors and / or internal JV stakeholders into a central data repository.
4) Assist with the preparation of data handover to Commissioning and to Operations, or handover to next project phase.
5) Assist with the preparation and issue of the data performance reports (status, progress and forecast).

Special Challenges
1) Undertaking data control activities across a number of Capital Projects which may be at various stages of the ORP.
2) Working in a highly virtualized environment in a geographically diverse and multicultural team.
3) Ensuring that various disciplines on the Capital Project follow the specifications and the standards.
4) Ability to work in a fast moving, rapidly changing and dynamic environment of a major Capital Project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous Experience and Exposure:
a) Proven experience in Information Management in Capital Projects
b) Previous experience of working in an Asset O&M team will be a distinct advantage.
c) Experience of working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems desirable.

Technical and Business Skills:
a) Knowledge of data control processes and systems, with exposure in an engineering/project environment.
b) Awareness of cross-discipline engineering data (requirements and use) including: business data model of engineering, spare parts processes, Maintenance Management System build processes.

Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
a) A high degree of skill in written and oral communications.
