The Role:
• Responsible for the overall integrity of the CLIENT Electronic Data Management System
• Ensure the effective application of the Project data management processes, procedures, coding standards and tools
• Support PIM to develop key project documentation such as Engineering Numbering Specification, Information Handover Specification & Plan
• Responsible for oversight and assurance that Contractor data control function conforms and delivers to CLIENT GPO standards
• Ensure processes are in place to achieve data accuracy, completeness and associations
• Ensure data issues are resolved on a timely basis
• Support and assure execution of information handover to Operations (or other specified recipient)
• Utilise and share lessons learned from/into CLIENT Local Learning System
• Where required, deputise for the Project Information Manager
• Where required, lead a small team of Data Controllers
Information Integrity
• Assure that Contractor teams have capability and direction to deliver data management services to the Project in a safe and efficient manner
• Responsible for maintaining integrity of the Project Master Class Library (MCL) containing the key reference data set
• Assure all data is submitted and maintained on time for all process activities it supports
• Responsible for the overall integrity of the project’s equipment and systems data (e.g. maintenance equipment numbering systems, materials, contractor, vendors, facilities, project and financial planning parameters, asset register, vendor contract information/service level agreements).
• Ensure provision of an accurate and unbiased view of project information status to both the Project Information Manager and the wider Delivery Team
• Support Project Information Manager in responding to Project queries and status requests
• Ensure information is handed over in accordance to Information Handover Specification (IHS), format and agreed schedules.
Interfaces
• Develop and maintain interfaces with key project stakeholders
• Represent GPO Data Management function at relevant project meetings or workshops (e.g. Engineering Meeting, Project Service Meetings)
• Serve as single-point-of-contact for the project team and operating asset team for the management of project data, integrated information set and interfaces with supporting infrastructure and applications
• Establish processes to ensure data in supply chain and contractor management systems is accurate.
• Work with Commissioning team to ensure that information is received in a timely manner and appropriately handles returned as-built data.
• Work with contractor information managers and data controllers to ensure that they have processes and procedures in place to maintain the quality of data in their systems.
• Collaborate with Operations to develop specifications and plan for information handover
• Support and champion GPO data management standardisation objectives through the provision of training and other knowledge sharing activities
• Research and maintain awareness of GPO policy and business best practices for engineering documentation
• Serving as single-point-of-contact for the project team and operating asset team for the management of project data and the supporting applications
• Ensure all Project stakeholders have the correct levels of access to CLIENT GPO project integrated information set and provide the necessary levels of training and guidance on their use
• Provide periodic user testing for selected information applications
• Ensure operation of an effective tag management facility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant professional experience gained from at least two different job roles related to engineering data management on projects or business assets (ideally Operator based with full lifecycle experience)
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, across the whole project irrespective of seniority, organizational or contractual boundaries
• Team Leadership or management experience and desire to develop these through training and hands-on experience
• Experience using electronic data management systems for controlling and reporting project data
• Experience working with large contractor organizations and performing effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment
• Experience & IT skills working with the interfacing of electronic systems
• Strong commitment to HSSE
• High level of self-motivation
Other essential skills and knowledge
• Engineering and/or Engineering Systems background
