The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
The Discipline Capability, Technician Competence Assurance (TCA) team is looking for a Competence Management (CM) Administrator in Anchorage. The CM Administrator provides varied support functions for the North Slope based TCA team including administration of the ICAN (Competency Assurance Information Network) and TQP (Technician Qualification Process) databases and support of the technician selection and induction programs.

Key Accountabilities:
•Provide oversight and manage the ICAN and TQP databases
•Develop, manage and distribute meaningful key performance reports in timely manner
•Perform ICAN and TQP database administrator duties
•Update ICAN and TQP databases to align with HR People movement report (new hires, transfers, etc)
•Interface and ensure prompt response to inquiries from facility, TCA Team and other end users
•Ensure all database records are accurate, kept up to date and reviewed for quality and consistency
•Support the technician selection and induction programs as needed

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Ideal candidate will have previous technician competency or progression database administrator experience, preferably ICAN or TQP.
•Relevant college degree and/or professional qualification or 5 years relevant experience with HS diploma
•High level of competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) with proficiency in use of Excel macros and VBA (visual basic for applications)
•Strong data analytical skills and ability to analyse data to produce meaningful reports
•Highly organized and able to plan, prioritize and balance multiple tasks effectively
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Manage work to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and minimum supervision
•Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
•Demonstrated customer focus and ability to adapt approach and style to be effective with different personalities
•Able to travel periodically to North Slope as needed

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee data
•Alaska North Slope experience
•Familiar with adult learning theory and application
•Understanding of regulatory training and assessment requirements
•Working knowledge of Company’s OMS (Operating Management System)
•Experience using Sharepoint or Business Objects
