The Role:
Responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning and delivery of the DCMS & associated system to Operations.

• Deliver fully client expectations on HSE.

• Coach and train National AIOC DCMS personnel, and ensure that they are provided opportunities to attend formal training courses which benefit the Project and would enhance their capabilities.

• Input into the compilation of Commissioning Test Procedures

• Fully conversant with BP’s GOC requirements

• Respond to engineering site queries where clarification of design is required and liaise with Eng contractor where an Engineering response to SEQ’s is required

• Witnessing and acceptance of Site Acceptance Tests.

• .Attend site RTC meetings and participate in level 2 risk assessments

• Ensuring all DCMS Commissioning personnel carryout their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures.

• Attend commissioning meetings.

• Be fully conversant and control DCMS software changes in accordance with project software change control procedure

• Responsible for the safety & management of all DCMS commissioning personnel and vendors reps under their control when on-site

• Compilation of a weekly progress report to their line manager.

• Control of “As building” documents in accordance with the project procedure

• Coordinate Vendor call offs in accordance with construction and commissioning schedule ensuring vendors are mobilised when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognised Instrument Apprenticeship
• Recognised Control & Instrument Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or degree)

• Competent in communicating in English language.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to supervise DCMS supplier personnel and liase with the Engineering Contractor.
• Ability to interact with Instrument Engineers and Technicians
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Ability to produce written reports and plans.
• Computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Minimum of 10 years experience working on Control System Commissioning on onshore or offshore facilities including:-

o Site Acceptance Testing
o Pre-commissioning
o Commissioning
o Handover to owner
